Becky's Review
West of the Moon by Katherine Langrish
This is a very entertaining combination of three books Troll Fell, Troll Mill and Troll Blood which is a beautiful blend of viking culture and values for young teenagers and a magical mix of nordic folklore that is just as captivating as the more well known norse myths.
Revolving around the adventures of Hilde and Peer as they grow up together and fend off sneaky greedy trolls and discover there is more magic out in the big wide world as well as their quite farm life. I love the detail Katherine adds with little details about viking life such as their clothing, what food they like to eat like bread and butter and grout which sounds yummy, she's even added a nice set of maps and the layout of a longship to the front to further lead the reader into the historical world.
